Little lessons

A couple little lessons over the last few days. Not new ones, but good ones.

1. Where God is, I am home. He is in me, I am in him. When I remain aware of this, the depth and riches of life with God astounds me. Sin is easier to resist, purposeful living seems natural, and discontent disappears.

2. I was made to love and serve God, and to love and serve the people around me. There are people who can't or won't listen to God. But they may listen to me. I am meant to stand in the gap: speaking God's words, and interceding for the people. It's a thrilling call to service. It is also nearly impossible without #1. (And just for laughs, how great is it that this is the call on the life of a two??)
